Growing up in a first-generation immigrant household, there were high expectations to pursue higher education that offers a more comfortable lifestyle. Through the years of high school and university, I have learned that I want to create art that can help younger girls to embrace their heritage, creating more positivity on topics that degrade girls image of themself.

Art has always been part of my upbringing, a way for me to express myself. Growing up in a south asian household and having a up bring in Canada created issues in how I express myself. Art was always an outlet where I could be myself, letting me experiment with how I express myself. Alpha Branded is a way of changing how I can change the way I look at myself as a darker girl.
